Since 2012, the 241 benefits have raised over $5.9 million for medical research at OMRF.
Since designating OMRF as its charitable beneficiary in 2011, the high school’s annual “Pink Out” activities have raised $89,334 to support cancer research.
The grant will support the Aging and Metabolism Research Program and completes a $5.2 million expansion campaign.
It marked the 45th consecutive year Putnam City Schools have supported cancer research at OMRF.
The donation continues the Eastern Star’s long history of generosity to OMRF, with gifts totaling $382,424.
