The Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation was ranked as one of the top places to work in Oklahoma for the second consecutive year in a report published in the Sunday edition of The Oklahoman newspaper.
OMRF ranked No. 4 in the large-organization category, comprising workplaces with 350 employees or more. OMRF ranked sixth in the inaugural list in 2013.
The survey, which is conducted by Pennsylvania-based Workplace Dynamics LLC, polls employees on a variety of factors, including pay and benefits, offering room to grow within the organization, quality of management and so on.
The improvement in this year’s ranking resulted from increased employee satisfaction in a number of areas, including employees feeling well-informed about important decisions, confidence in their place in the company’s future and fair pay grades. OMRF also received high marks for management making it easy for employees to do their jobs and operating a workplace that shows strong values and ethics.
“We’re honored and appreciative of this award and the best part is that it came from our employees,” said OMRF Vice President of Human Resources Courtney Stevens. “We asked them to participate in this survey honestly and, per their answers, we received this honor. It’s just a special thing to know our employees feel this way.”
OMRF has ranked in the top 10 all five years it has participated in the survey, from 2007 to 2009 and in 2013 and 2014. Workplace Dynamics invited 795 Oklahoma companies to participate in this year’s survey.
