OMRF offers unique opportunities for high school students to experience a day in the life of an OMRF scientist or a nonprofit philanthropist at an independent research institute.
The Sir Alexander Fleming Scholar Program was founded in 1956 as a way to give Oklahoma’s high school and college students hands-on biomedical research experience. This program offers an 8-week summer research experience for high school seniors to work with world-renowned scientists to help make new discoveries in our state-of-the-art research facilities.
The Teen Leaders program is a premier teen leadership program for Oklahoma students who wish to gain a deeper understanding of supporting their community, develop hands-on leadership skills, learn about how OMRF operates, and how they can become advocates for research and improving human health.
