Discover a future in biomedical research this summer through the Langston University Biomedical research Scholars Program. This program starts with an 8-week, paid summer research experience where Langston Scholars will be guided by senior scientists while working on individual projects in cutting-edge labs. The discoveries made during this program could not only shape your future but also contribute to advancing treatments for human diseases.

Join our information session to learn more about the program, get questions answered, hear from former scholars and more!
During the 8-week summer program, Langston Scholars will have the opportunity to:
- Perform bench research guided by laboratory mentors
- Attend weekly seminars and professional development workshops
- Participate in social and cultural events
- Write, with the help of their mentor, an abstract summarizing their summer project
- Give a short, formal scientific presentation outlining their research findings
- Attend a celebratory luncheon in honor of their accomplishments
Our Langston Scholars will also receive many perks during their time at OMRF, including free breakfast on workdays, free 24-hour gym access, free parking as well as free dormitory-style housing.
Following the successful completion of the summer program, scholars may explore options to continue their work for multiple academic years, enjoying longer-term mentorship and employment opportunities.
