For the sixth straight year, OMRF has been named a Top Workplace by The Oklahoman newspaper.
Based on surveys of 24,000 employees at more than 100 state businesses, OMRF ranked second overall in the category of large employers (350-plus workers).
The surveys were conducted by The Oklahoman in partnership with Energage, a Philadelphia-based research and consulting firm. Employees answered questions about a variety of factors related to their jobs, including pay and benefits, job satisfaction, room for growth and management quality.
In their responses, employees cited OMRF’s onsite fitness center and healthy dining options offered in the Research Cafe. “These extra incentives,” commented one employee in a survey response, “make this workplace stand out from the rest!”
“We’re happy to know that our employees appreciate the environment we’ve all helped create,” said OMRF Vice President of Human Resources Courtney Stevens Greenwood. “Still, we’re constantly looking for ways to make our workplace better. Our aim is to make OMRF a place people want to call home.”
OMRF has ranked in the top 10 in the large employer category every year since The Oklahoman began compiling the last in 2013. In 2017, OMRF took the top overall spot.
“At OMRF, our goal is to create a workplace where employees feel supported yet also have the freedom to innovate,” said OMRF President Stephen Prescott, M.D.
Judging from survey results, OMRF appears to be doing just that. As one respondent wrote: “Science is the priority, not bureaucracy.”
