OMRF will offer estate planning seminars for attorneys, CPAs and financial planners on Nov. 29 in Oklahoma City and Nov. 30 in Tulsa.
The keynote speaker at both events will be Louis Mezzullo, a nationally recognized expert in estate planning. An attorney based in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., Mezzullo is a partner in the law firm of Luce Forward.
The Nov. 29 seminar will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Oklahoma City Marriott, 3323 Northwest Expressway. The Tulsa seminar will take place on Nov. 30 at the Doubletree Hotel Downtown, 616 West 7th Street, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Mezzullo is president-elect and fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counseling. He serves on the Advisory Committee of the University of Miami Philip E. Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning and has served in numerous leadership positions in local, state and national bar organizations.
At the Oklahoma City seminar, Cynda Ottaway will also make a presentation on legal ethics. A partner at the firm of Crowe and Dunley, Ottaway’s practice focuses on estate planning, trust and estate administration, planning for closely held family businesses and litigation resolving business and family disputes.
The Tulsa seminar will feature an ethics presentation by Andrew Wolov. A shareholder in the law firm of Hall Estill, Wolov’s practice centers on representing high-net-worth, closely held companies, family business succession planning, estate planning, charitable tax planning and general tax matters.
The seminar will provide attendees with 4 hours of CLE credit, including 1 hour ethics credit, by the Oklahoma Bar Association. CPAs who attend will receive 4 hours’ CPE credit and a certificate to document their attendance, and CFPs will receive 4 hours’ credit.
