Our research efforts change with the changing problems in human health. And for every question answered, more questions are asked. With more than 300 scientific staff members, including some of the world’s foremost immunologists and cardiovascular biologists, OMRF has become one of the nation’s leading independent medical research institutes. Along the way, our scientists have done more than explore the mysteries of human disease—they have helped develop medications that fight deadly illnesses. They have saved lives.
While our name says Oklahoma, when it comes to scientific partnerships, OMRF’s work touches nearly every corner of the globe. Each year, our researchers publish papers or join on grants with scientists across the U.S. and in dozens of countries around the globe. And research topics at OMRF range as far and wide as collaborators, from studies of rare children’s diseases to Alzheimer’s.
