Rigorous outside review is essential for maintaining the highest standards of scientific excellence. While individual scientists receive peer review each time they submit manuscripts and grant proposals, programmatic and institutional evaluation is also important. OMRF is fortunate to have a Scientific Advisory Board that serves this role. The Board is comprised of distinguished scientists, each nationally and internationally recognized for excellence in his or her field of research, and most are department or institute heads. Members serve four-year terms and conduct in-depth reviews of one or more of OMRF’s research programs each year. They also advise the President and Vice President of Research throughout the year.
