Graduate Students

Training the next generation of scientists is in our DNA. Through research experiences and mentorship, OMRF is shaping the minds of the next generation of scientists.

Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences (GPiBS)

OMRF participates in a cooperative program with the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) to provide graduate student fellowship support. Recipients will have the opportunity to pursue their graduate research with OUHSC and OMRF faculty members in one of six biomedical sciences departments: Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Microbiology & Immunology, Neuroscience, Pathology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or Physiology.

M.D./Ph.D. or Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP)

Through the M.D./Ph.D. Program, a cooperative venture with the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC), OMRF scientists mentor students working toward both medical degrees and scientific doctorates. The program is designed to maximize combined institutional resources to prepare future physician-scientists for careers in academic medicine and clinical investigation.

BioLAB Program

The BioLAB Program, which is administered by the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission, offers 12-month (July to June) research traineeships to students in Poland who are enrolled in an eligible Master’s, Ph.D., Pharmacy, and/or M.D. degree program in many areas of biomedical sciences, including life sciences, biophysics and medical fields of study.
