After almost 40 years of dedicated service, the “face of OMRF” has chosen to retire.
June 1 marks the final day for Joyce Holley, who will be leaving her position as senior receptionist.
Joyce began her career at OMRF in November 1975 as a glassware washer and then took a position in the research clinic as a nurse’s assistant, helping give the patients their chemo treatments.
She never thought of working at OMRF’s front desk, but was asked to fill in on occasion. As it turned out, the clinic closed and Joyce moved to the switchboard fulltime.
We’ll all miss Joyce’s smiling face and kind nature, not to mention the vast knowledge and information she passes on to folks each day.
Enjoy retirement, Joyce. You deserve it!
