OMRF will host estate-planning seminars for attorneys, CPAs and financial planners on Sept. 16 in Oklahoma City and Sept. 17 in Tulsa.
The course, titled “Integrating Gifts into Estate Planning,” will focus on ways estate planners can assist clients who wish to build gifting into their estate plan.
Keynote speaker at both locations will be Edward Thompson, Ed.D., Founder and CEO of Thompson & Associates of Brentwood, Tenn. Thompson has planned thousands of estates, which have generated well over two billion dollars to charity during his thirty plus years working with nonprofits. He speaks to organizations from coast to coast on successful fundraising techniques, nonprofit management and charitable estate planning.
Heritage Trust Company is partnering sponsor for the events. Other sponsors include Grant Thornton, McAfee & Taft, Crowe & Dunlevy, HoganTaylor, Bank of Oklahoma – The Private Bank and Rogers & Bell.
The seminar will provide attendees with 4 hours of CLE credit by the Oklahoma Bar Association. CPAs who attend will receive a certificate to document their attendance, and CFPs will receive 4 hours’ credit.
The Sept. 16 seminar will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. at OMRF in Oklahoma City. The Tulsa seminar on Sept. 17 will be located at the Doubletree Hotel Downtown, 616 West 7th St., from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
