For 13 Oklahoma college students, the summer of 2014 provided a close-up, hands-on look at the world of science at OMRF. During June and July, students selected for OMRF’s Fleming Scholar and Presidential Scholar Programs worked side-by-side with senior-level researchers on projects ranging from cancer to arthritis to heart disease.
Since 1956, these prestigious programs have provided a first glimpse at a career in research for these undergraduates at a crucial time in their educational journeys.
