The Street, a national online investing and financial news site, has named OMRF as one of its “10 Best Charities for Christmas 2013.”
OMRF ranked 7th overall in the rankings released Monday by the news site, which was founded by noted financial journalist Jim Cramer. According to the article, writers at The Street “scoured the country, boiled down the financials and ranked the top 10 charities deserving of your hard-earned cash.”
In recognizing OMRF, the article noted: “Of the $64.43 million raised in fiscal 2012, 90.5% was channeled towards medical research and 6.8% towards administrative expenses.”
“We work hard to run a tight financial ship,” said OMRF President Stephen Prescott, M.D. “Not only do we keep our administrative costs low, we do all we can to keep research top-of-mind at all times. When you support OMRF, you know that your gifts are going directly to fight disease.”
For 12 years in a row, OMRF also has received the highest possible rating from Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest charity evaluator.
