On March 27, Oklahoma First Lady Kim Henry and five former Oklahoma first ladies will host an evening of dinner and dancing. Proceeds from the event will benefit OMRF.
The First Ladies’ Gala will be held at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. The black-tie affair will feature cocktails, dinner, dancing, music by Larry “T-Byrd” Gordon and the Music People Luv Band, and a unique presentation that will reveal plans for OMRF’s campus expansion.
“OMRF is one of Oklahoma’s shining stars,” said First Lady Kim Henry, who is serving as Gala co-chair and has been a member of OMRF’s board of directors since 2004. “This gala is a wonderful opportunity to support an institution whose work has touched the lives of countless Oklahomans and people throughout the world.”
In addition to Henry, Cathy Keating, Rhonda Walters, Donna Nigh, Molly Boren and Ann Bartlett will co-host the event. This is the second time that Henry and her fellow first ladies have hosted the Gala to benefit OMRF.
“OMRF has been fortunate to have such strong support from Oklahoma’s first ladies,” said OMRF President Stephen Prescott, M.D. “We couldn’t ask for better partners in the fight against human disease.”
Co-chairs of the gala are Kim Henry and Harrison Levy. Event Committee members are Liz Coe, Jim Mueller, Phyllis Stough and Becky Switzer. The Development Committee Chair is Malinda Berry Fischer.
The Gala will be coordinated by OK Events and catered by 61 Hundred Catering. To purchase tickets, call (405) 271-7400.
