Dr. Paul Kincade, Vice President of Research

kincade-paul-2014Dr. Kincade received his undergraduate and master’s degrees from Mississippi State University and his Ph.D. from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He spent eight years on the faculty of Sloan-Kettering Institute in New York before coming to OMRF in 1982. In the lab, Kincade studies the relationships between stem cells and the human immune system that can lead to the development of lymphomas, leukemias or myelomas. He has written more than 180 peer-reviewed papers, as well as 92 chapters and reviews, placing him on the Institute for Scientific Information’s List of Highly Cited Authors.

He was named head of OMRF’s Immunobiology & Cancer Research Program in 1985 and holds the William H. and Rita Bell Chair in Biomedical Research. His honors include a Senior Investigatorship from the Arthritis Foundation, Research Career Development and MERIT Awards from the National Institutes of Health, and a Distinguished Service Award from the American Association of Immunologists. Dr. Kincade served on the Board of Scientific Councilors for the National Institute for Child Health and Human Development and is now a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the RIKEN Center for Allergy and Immunology. Kincade has held presidencies in both the American Association of Immunologists and the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology. In 2010, Dr. Kincade was named founding Scientific Director for the Oklahoma Center for Adult Stem Cell Research.
